Good Morning New Horizons Charter Academy Parents and Guardians,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. I come to you with a heavy ask. New Horizons Charter Academy has been supporting, encouraging and making a huge impact on the lives of young, underprivileged, low-income children for 12 years!! Our school has provided these kids from Kindergarten to 8th grade the opportunity to receive a better education than their neighborhood schools. New Horizons has been fortunate, after 12 years of searching, found a forever home for the future. We have an enormous project to renovate an existing brick Church facility. We are 70% into completing the project for this upcoming 25/26 school year. We have exhausted much our cash reserves in this project. We have been actively reaching out to all philanthropic foundations, sports figures, musicians and movie stars across Los Angeles area. We are making every effort to overturn every stone to try and find additional financial support. New Horizons has an amazing STEM Lab program, and I thought about creating a Donor Section with beautiful name plates, with name of donors, created by our students in the STEM Lab to affix on the brick building. This would be an awesome way to memorialize so many who have taken the chance to help these kids.. I can envision this beautiful Wall of name plates. I am hoping that with a tax-deductible donation of $500 to $1,000, we can raise money for our library, basketball court, soccer field, teacher resource center and performance arts theater. Additionally, if you are aware of local or private foundations, individuals, who would consider helping our school, I am asking for you to pass on our request to support our students, who are desperate for a chance to move out of poverty and change their direction in life with a great education. This is the key to the future for them.
